Alan White was born on May 26 1972. He grew up in South London and he has an older brother Steve. Steve
was the drummer for Paul Weller and a talented musician.
Alan took after his brother, and as Noel claims,
"he's a better musician than me."
His nickname is "Whitey" and he supports the football team
Charlton Athletic.
Noel discovered Alan when Alan was in a room rehearsing.
Noel found out who he was and called Alan the next day
and said "Do you want to be in my band", and that was it!
Alan replaced Oasis' first drummer, Tony McCarroll in April
of 1995. Alan's 2nd gig was a huge one, the Glastonbury Festival
in 1995.
Alan is known as the sweetheart of Oasis
and Alan's sweetheart is American
(I point that out because Oasis is
thought to hate Americans, they DON'T!) model Liz
Atkins. She's the blonde in the DLBIA video, and
they met on the set of DLBIA. They got married
in 1997.
